Job Summary: The Marine Superintendent provides expert nautical support to the fleet. You will oversee navigational safety, cargo operations, and port-related matters to ensure the highest level of operational excellence and cargo integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and enhance navigational safety standards through regular shipboard audits.
- Supervise cargo planning and handling for specialized vessels (e.g., Bulk Carriers/Cable Layers).
- Liaise with Port Authorities, Terminals, and Agents regarding vessel operations.
- Provide guidance to Masters and Deck Officers on navigational and cargo-related issues.
- Oversee the vetting process (RightShip/SIRE) for assigned vessels.
Qualifications:
- Master Mariner (Class 1) with command experience on ocean-going vessels.
- Previous experience as a Marine Superintendent in a ship management firm is an advantage.
- In-depth knowledge of cargo operations and navigational technology.
- Strong leadership and communication skills in English.
