Procurement Specialist (Marine)

Job Summary: The Procurement Specialist manages the strategic sourcing and timely delivery of ship spares, stores, and technical services. You play a vital role in balancing cost-efficiency with the high-quality standards required for maritime operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with global vendors for marine equipment and services.
  • Coordinate complex logistics to ensure parts reach vessels at the right port and time.
  • Monitor vendor performance and manage long-term supplier contracts.
  • Analyze procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising safety.
  • Liaise with Technical Superintendents to process vessel requisitions efficiently.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a Technical Maritime field.
  • 3+ years of experience in marine procurement or shipping logistics.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and global supply chain knowledge.
  • Proficiency in ERP or maritime procurement software (e.g., Amos, ShipNet).
