Job Summary
As a Technical Superintendent at IMC Ship Management, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient technical operation of assigned vessels. You will oversee maintenance, dry-docking, and ensure full compliance with international maritime regulations (IMO/SOLAS).
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor vessel performance and technical conditions through regular inspections.
- Manage and plan dry-docking repairs, including budgeting and contractor supervision.
- Ensure vessels meet all safety, environmental, and quality standards (ISM/ISPS Code).
- Provide technical support to crew members and troubleshoot engineering issues remotely or on-site.
- Manage OPEX budgets for assigned vessels without compromising on safety and quality.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a similar role or as a Chief Engineer on ocean-going vessels (Bulk Carriers preferred).
- Certification: Class 1 Marine Engineer Certificate of Competency (CoC).
- Skills: Strong knowledge of maritime regulations, technical troubleshooting, and project management.
- Soft Skills: Excellent command of English, leadership mindset, and ability to work in a high-pressure environment.
